Pilgrimtours.gr was an idea inspired and elaborated by George Dimopoulos, founder & part-owner of HIMALAYA TRAVEL S.A. Being the son of a priest from Messinia, he got into Travel Business from an early age and together with his partner Alen Narlian, established a successful Travel Operation that for almost 40 years now, has been handling a diversity of Travel services, expanding throughout the years with thousands of satisfied clients.
HIMALAYA TRAVEL S.A. is a “Special Interest” Travel Agency established in Athens in 1985 which among other specialties, like ECO Travel and Accessible Travel for the disable, handles successfully any kind of Religious (Pilgrimage) travel in Greece and abroad. This experience, knowledge and faith eventually materialized to Pilgrimtours.gr.
With many years of experience, we offer more than just tours. Our Faith
Travelling for more than 40 years around all Christian shrines in Greece, Asia Minor, the Holy Land and other parts of the world, I believe that participating in a PilgrimTour, walking on the same places where Christ and the Apostles have walked, lived and taught, today (same as then) the traveller will have a unique experience and deeper knowledge of Christianity and the Gospel.
